![]() So my results with this limited upgrade Topaz install is hit and miss with a lot of misses. ![]() Not a good explanation, sorry, as I've not figured out exactly what's happening. Trouble is now I'm having odd problems like starting with a cropped image (special no lost edges CS6 crop) which Topaz sees as the uncropped whole image and then sends back to CS6 as an offset crop to the layer created for the filter result. COOL! Looked like I did not need to separately download and install each plug-in. without having to download and install each one. I opened an image and tried it out and found with photoFX running I could access the whole list of my plug-ins. Afterwards I opened CS6 to check it out and yes photoFXlab showed under Filter> as best as my fuddy duddy ol man's memory can relate.) I started with photoFXlab and it took the Topaz Software Manager to download the new 1.2 version and install it. So here's what happened on my attempt to link Topaz stuff to my new CS6 (. I'd rather be editing photos than HAVING 8 programs to download AGAIN and INSTALL AGAIN? ARGH! So given that time consuming process I do believe a installation manager is a stellar idea. that's for sure not what I wanted to hear. ![]() Our installer are updated for CS6, so it should install good for you in both locations. The easiest way to install without worry is to download and install your programs again from /downloads. I have PhotoFXLab v1.1, and current versions of Adjust 5, Clean 3, DeNoise 5, Detail 2, ReMask 3, Simplify 3, and Star Effects installed and working in CS5 64bit now. But that was for a MOVE to the new PS version. In a search I found info about a CS4 to CS5 upgrade where it was suggested the plug-in directory ought to be copied to the new CS5 version. I'm wondering what the best method would be to get CS6 working with FXLab and all the other Topaz plug-ins I've purchased. I just installed Photoshop CS6 and plan to keep and use CS5 as it supports Pixel Bender and it's what I'm used to and practiced with. What follows is my post and Topaz's response: When I upgraded to CS6 a month ago I asked Topaz (in their forum) the best way to get up and running for BOTH CS5 and CS6. Right now all my Topaz plug-ins and photoFXlab and are listed in filters separately in CS5. ![]() Seems it takes "beta" release and a bunch of griping customers for Topaz to determine if their newest installation manager is going to workout. I'd like to try the new Simplify update, but after reading of the problems and band-aid solution I'm going to hold off. I don't see Simplify4 in the uninstaller yet (maybe a reboot?). Might try and uninstall Simplify 3 from CCleaner or Control Panel. They "both" appear in Corel PSP X5 as well. Only bug seems that I now have "two versions" of Simplify in CS6 64-bit: Simplify 3 and Simplify 4 both are there. I did the top two first (One is really slow with some 12 files). Second is "Update Topaz Labs plugin(s) currently installed on this computer."Ī couple of other selections are below those: "Install Topaz Labs plugin(s) not currently installed on this computer." Seems to have fixed the issue with the newer downloader and doing the two top ones for selection: The 1.2.2 wouldn't update the software download manager to 1.2.4 for some reason which might be the problem. The newest one has a larger selection than the prior one as to selections. I reloaded their Topaz Software Manager downloader off their website and it is version 1.2.4.
