By going with RAID 0, it has resolved both error #1 & 3 for me. This is crazy because I have had Hackintosh build running smoothly (just couldn't risk upgrading the OS for the last two years) and without panics with the same three monitors.įinal edit: I deleted RAID 5 volume and created RAID 0 volume to avoid compatibility issues with macOS. I tried the same thing a day before but with one of two LG monitors and I did have error #2. Spoke with OWC regarding error #3, which got resolved by removing the thunderbolt hub, but they want more support logs to be created and send me the panic error message, which I already have sent them multiple times.Įdit 7: I unplugged all external hard drives and only connected one monitor (Wacom Cintiq Pro), and I did not have error #2 this morning. Apple wanted me to only plug one monitor at a time, directly to Mac Studio to isolate error #2, and I already did that and nothing happened. An engineer is going to review and let me know what they found. I am unable to figure out why Error#2 is occurring, but there are so many support articles for people experiencing the same issue.Įdit 6: Spoke with Apple Support and they ran diagnostics and took some sort of logs from my machine. ![]() Once I unplugged the Thunderbolt Hub, and plugged both monitors into the Studio, I was able to use my RAID volume without error. Both of my LG monitors were connected to Thunderbolt 4 Hub, and another USBC SSD was connected to the same hub. I have two OWC thunderbolt devices (OWC Thunderbay 8 Flex, and Thunderbolt 4 Hub). However, the new Mac Studio has another error I am getting a restart every night with Error #2.Įdit 5: After the recent macOS update I started getting error#3 immediately after I log in to the system. I Changed security settings first from the recovery, then installed the softraid, and created RAID 5 volume with 64k stripe and that fixed the restart immediately after I plug in the thunderbay 8 issues. The downside to this is that I can't connect the TB8 Flex to another machine because the raid volume is tied to this machine and won't get recognized.Įdit 3: Even after I deleted OWC Softraid, my Mac Studio restarted itself and threw another error, I am returning the Studio and pick up a new one tomorrow.Įdit 4: I had the same issues with the new Mac Studio as well. Erased raid volume and created raid using Apple's Disk Utility and the issue is resolved. OWC asked me to change the cable and disable SIP, and I tried them both, and still, it did not work.Įdit 2: Deleted OWC Softraid, changed security back to default. I have an appointment with senior Apple Support later today. ![]() Tried connecting LG monitors directly to the Studio, but still had sleep time out issues.Tried connecting only one storage device at a time, but still had sleep time out issues.Tried connecting one display at a time without any storage connected, and still had issues with LG Monitors with sleep time out.Įdit 1: I contacted both Apple, and OWC. Initial set up for Mac Studio's back Thunderbolt 4 ports ![]() I tried to uninstall and reinstall OCW Softraid, changed security settings, and even tried disabling SIP and nothing seems to be working. ![]() The Kernel is panicking right after logging in. I got my new MacStudio Ultra, and I am getting frequent restarts if I plug in OCW Thunderbay Flex 8 to my MacStudio.
